The best from nature and the sea
Dedication, consistency, perseverance, commitment and passion – these are the ingredients for Paolo Casagrande’s career. With these qualities, the Italian also managed to impress Martín Berasategui during a visit in 2003. The Spanish top chef quickly handed over the management of his restaurant at the Ritz Carlton in the Canary Islands, where Casagrande received his first Michelin star. In 2016, he assumed overall responsibility for all restaurants at the Monument Hotel in Barcelona, including the Lasarte. The concept employed there – only the best products offered by nature and the sea depending on the season – impresses not only the locals and visitors to the tourist metropolis, but also the critics. In 2017, Casagrande was awarded three Michelin stars.
