Marco Müller

STAR CHEF WITH PASSION

Marco Müller learned his craft at numerous stations, collected ideas and thus developed the basis for his very own style of cooking today. His professional path led him, among other things, to the “Schlosshotel im Grunewald” and the restaurant “Grand Slam” by Johannes King, who now wields the scepter in the “Söl’ring Hof Sylt”; Further stations were the “Imperial” in the Schlosshotel Bühlerhöhe and the restaurant “Harlekin” in the Grand Hotel Esplanade, where Marco Müller was voted “Rising Star of the Year” by the “Feinschmecker” for his first position as head chef in 2000, and finally the restaurant ” Windspiel” in the hotel “Schloss Hubertushöhe”. In 2004, “MM” succeeded Ralf Zacherl as head chef at the “Weinbar Rutz” in Berlin. And with great success: “Die Welt” chose the Rutz, which he now manages as kitchen director, as restaurant of the year 2007.
But that’s not all: In the same year he was awarded his first Michelin star, received his second Michelin star in 2016 and was awarded 17 out of 20 points by “Gault Millau”. Today the restaurant has three Michelin stars and 18 Gault Millau Points. Marco Müller is one of the most ambitious and innovative chefs in Germany. He always develops his creative ideas from the product, puts it in the foreground and gives it a new shine. Behind each of his dishes and combinations there is always a taste surprise without clumsy sensationalism. But for Marco Müller, awards and reputation are by no means everything. In recent years he has developed his own planting plans with farmers and works closely with farmers and cattle breeders who provide him with the best products in the region.
