Juan Amador

Juan Amador is a German chef with Spanish roots. His culinary expertise earned his restaurant, Amador, in the town of Langen, near Frankfurt, 3 Michelin stars from 2008 to 2012 – a feat that the chef repeated when he opened his second restaurant, Amesa, in Mannheim. The current incarnation of Amador is located in Vienna, in a converted wine cellar with vaulted ceilings belonging to Fritz Wieninger’s Vienna winery Hajszan Neumann. In addition to the designated “Krug table” and a wide selection of the exclusive champagne, Amador also boasts a wine menu with over 1,200 wines and was awarded 2 Michelin stars just one year after opening. In March 2019, Amador became Austria’s first restaurant to receive 3 Michelin stars.
