Heiko Nieder has a long and varied history of regaling gourmet lovers. Above all as head chef at “The Restaurant” – Zurich’s most decorated dining establishment, with 19 GaultMillau points and two Michelin stars to its name – where he has been delighting guests since 2008. Gourmet festival THE EPICURE, being staged for the seventh time in 2022, is another long-standing highlight on the city’s gastronomic calendar. And it’s finally possible to enjoy the “Chef of the Year” 2019 and his dishes at home as well, since Nieder published his long-planned cookbook last summer. “The Restaurant” is a contemporary culinary work that showcases his cuisine season by season. Be it appetisers, amuse-bouches or opulent menus – each of the 384 pages bears Nieder’s unique gastronomic signature.
