Born in Hamburg, Nieder is the driving force behind THE EPICURE. His The Restaurant at the Dolder Grand has been awarded 19 GaultMillau points and 2 Michelin stars, making it one of Zurich’s most highly decorated restaurants. The philosophy of this innovative German chef is to create food which offers a large array of flavours, enchanting his guests with dishes that defy classic culinary preconceptions. He has received numerous awards, including “Most Improved Chef of the Year 2012” from GaultMillau Switzerland, “Le Grand Chef du Guide Bleu” from the “Guide Bleu 2014/15” restaurant guide, “Best German Chef Abroad 2015” from GaultMillau Germany, and “Chef of the Year 2017” in the “SonntagsZeitung” hotel ratings. In 2018, Nieder was named “Chef of the Year 2019” by GaultMillau and received his 19th GaultMillau point for his unique cuisine.
