Heiko Nieder is a host through and through. Nowhere more so than in The Restaurant – Zurich’s most decorated dining establishment, with 19 GaultMillau points and two Michelin stars to its name – where he has been delighting guests with his uniquely distinctive cuisine since 2008. Nieder is also taking up the host’s mantle at the six-day festival THE EPICURE: for the eight time now, the Chef of the Year 2019 has been welcoming top chefs from around the world to pool their skills and create surprising flavour combinations. Even after 15 years at the Dolder Grand, he manages to conjure up new, innovative formats time and again. His latest project is ’blooms’, which will see him serve light, refined dishes in an outdoor setting from June onwards.
